The Dark Corridor at Handelshögskolan, Göteborg
Den Mörka Korridoren (The Dark Corridor) will temporarily occupy a corner of the School of Economics, December 9th. We will open a smaller zine exhibition and also make space for playing around with making fanzines/zines (self-published material). Coming from fan culture and other self organized sub cultures, we think zines today provide openings for other, more experimental, raw and less predefined forms of conducting or sharing research within academia –

Problem Recycling
Problem Recycling is a popcorn ritual, inspired by the remarkable ability of popcorn to transform in an instant from a small, hard, inedible kernel into something soft and light, fluffy and delicious. The ritual has been developed by artists Anne Marte Overaa and Sara Granér, and as it is now tested for the first time, their intention is to engage participants in a place where many people move about –
Unowning Ritual – Kinnekulle
On September 16 at 5 p.m., on Kinnekulle, this mountain will be ritually unowned in the great quarry near Hällekis. The ritual of unowning Kinnekulle is not about changing legal conditions. Rather, it seeks to summon forth the possibility of experiencing other ways of being human in relation to a mountain; together with all the people, plants, and animals who live, have lived, and will live here on Kinnekulle. Perhaps
Shrinking Exercise for 40-70 persons
Do you experience that things easily grow too big? Or that various phenomena in your life demand way too much time, energy, and resources? Maybe you just don’t share the prescribed view of expansion and acceleration as desirable? RITE is opening the program at a netwoork meeting for SWAN (Swedish Artist Residency Network), taking place in Gothenburg, September 4th. All participants will begin the first day of the meeting with a ceremonial
Ritual for Unowning
As part of its process of relocating from Götaplatsen to Gamlestaden, Göteborgs konsthall has invited a group of artists to take part in Field Studies, an investigation of what it means “to cherish a commons”. On Saturday, August 23rd, Field Studies will meet the public for the first time. The programme starts 2PM with an introduction, followed by a Ritual for Unowning, created by two members of RITE’s research and
The Dark Corridor
The Dark Corridor is an attempt to create space for freer forms of thinking and doing that tend to be constrained within formalized and institutionalized structures of our contemporary society. The Dark Corridor is a playful tool, a library, an infrastructure for self-publishing, for zines, release parties and small-scale relational distribution within and between institutions and organizations that we think could benefit from access to less controlled formats for sharing
Test of first PRIO-prototype in Stockholm
A number of institutions and organizations in our society seem to amplify the crises and challenges of our time, due to their will to persist at any cost. In short, they are dying, but refuse to admit it. Our modern society undoubtedly places great value on for instance progress, conquest and exploitation. At the same time, qualities such as listening, empathy, and care are hardly valued at all. The efficiency
Rites and rituals that challenge taken-for-granted ways of thinking
Welcome to this seminar at KTH in Stockholm, where we explore forms and frames for the upcoming strategic collaboration between RITE Agency and the research group Sustainable Futures Lab (SF Lab) Rites and rituals are important for all people, but are often overlooked in today’s society. RITE Agency works with rites and rituals that provide aha-experiences, shake things up and challenge the power of habit over individuals and the power
RITE joining the 1 percent
Strategiskt partnerskap RITE/KTH
